Planned Giving

The lifeblood of most nonprofits is not the government or foundations.  It's ordinary people from all walks of life, giving their time and money to nonprofits that reflect their values and passions.

While many Americans contribute to charity throughout their lives, only 8% continue this support through a gift in their estate plan.  In many cases, it is because they simply did not realize this was an option.

What happens after you are gone?  The answer is simple: leave a legacy by including charity in your estate plan to ensure that the organizations that count on you today are not forgotten after you're gone.  It is a way to create an ongoing personal legacy around something that matters to you.

"To leave the world a little better - whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived... this is the meaning of success." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

Can Cain, Cain & Janik help my nonprofit increase planned giving?

Many people make donations to the nonprofits they believe in periodically and often regularly throughout their lives. In most cases these donations end when that person passes away. Cain, Cain & Janik educates clients about planned giving during the creation of their estate plans. Many people are unaware that they can incorporate planned giving into their estate plans. Clients are often delighted to discover that their legacies can continue to support the causes that are most meaningful to them.
